IGNOU Convocation 2024 – Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is annually held its convocation on its main campus at Maidan Garhi as well as across all regional centres of IGNOU. Now it’s time for the next 37th Convocation and the university has officially started the online registration for the next convocation for those students who have successfully completed their program from IGNOU University from the last sessions.IGNOU Candidates can watch the live webcast of Convocation from IGNOU Online website which will broadcast from 10:30 AM.
IGNOU 37th Convocation 2024 Live Updates
It is obvious that many of the students are waiting for the next IGNOU convocation to get their original certificates from the university. The university has officially started to collect the online applications for the original degree certificate who has completed their degree and diploma courses in the following session. The registration for convocation is available through the online method only and candidates have to pay the requisite fees through online mode only. IGNOU Convocation expected to date is also released by the university which is given in the following section.

Clarification – If any of the students are failed to register for IGNOU 36th or earlier convocation can visit their regional centre as soon as possible for the available method for applying for IGNOU previous convocation to get their degree certificate as soon as possible from IGNOU head office.
IGNOU 37th Convocation 2024: Dates & Venue
The university going to hold the 37th Convocation at IGNOU Main Campus, New Delhi as well as it will be held at the respective regional centres across India. Furthermore, It will be telecasted on Gyandarshan and IGNOU’s Official Facebook page for watching.

Note – The time duration for online registration of the 37th convocation is still not clear so it might be short or long so the eligible candidates are requested to get registered as soon as possible to get their degree certificates without waiting for the last date.
Important Instructions for 37th Convocation: Candidates must be reached with an IGNOU ID card and take a seat before the arrival of VVIP. There is no need to take anything with you while reaching to IGNOU campus except your ID card.
Who is Eligible for the 37th Convocation?
All candidates who have completed their degree or diploma program in TEE December 2022 and June 2023 are eligible to register for the 37th Convocation online. They will be invited to award of Original Degree Certificate at the convocation. So it has been cleared that convocation is only for those candidates who have completed degree or diploma courses.
Where to attend the 37th Convocation?
Candidates may attend the convocation in the concerned regional centre which they have selected for their course. If there is no convocation event organized at your RC then you can attend it at the nearby regional centre in your neighbor city and get their certificate from any of the nearby regional centres. If you can’t attend your convocation but paid fees for it then your degree certificate will be sent to you by post after completion of convocation.
IGNOU Convocation Registration Procedure 2024
The candidates have to follow the following link to register online for the upcoming convocation of IGNOU University. The procedure is very little where there are no documents required at the time of filling the form. The candidate just needs to have their 9-digit or 10-digit enrollment number to get registered for the convocation.

Candidates are requested to fill out the registration form by clicking on the “Online Registration” link and pay Fees with any of the online payment methods.
Notice for Non-Registered Candidates – If you failed or missed registering for the 37th convocation through online mode then candidates are advised to visit their regional centre today and submit the form with fees of Rs 600 through Cash Challan to receive your degree certificate as soon as possible without any delay. Students have to visit their RC to know more about the procedure of applying.
IGNOU Convocation Fee 2024
For IGNOU 37th Convocation, the convocation fees for a Master’s degree, Bachelor’s degree, PhD, and diploma courses will be the same as the previous fee of Rs 600 per certificate.
Furthermore, the PG Certificate and Certificate program students also have to apply for IGNOU Convocation and have to pay the required fees of Rs 200 per certificate to obtain or receive their program certificate from IGNOU.
Earlier, If you had completed your program in Certificate or Post Graduate Certificate level then you don’t need to register yourself for IGNOU Convocation and you don’t need to pay any fees for it. Your certificate for completion of the program will be sent to you by post from IGNOU University to the provided address without following any procedure for it.
IGNOU Convocation Status 2024
If you had successfully registered for the convocation online then now it’s time to check your convocation application status. Keep in mind that the student can check their status 48 hours or 2 working days after submission of the online application.

Candidates can get their print of convocation by entering their 9 or 10 digit enrollment number on the Acknowledgement page and get awarded of degree certificate from IGNOU.
IGNOU Degree Certificate Not Received?
If any student failed or forget to register for the convocation, then there will no degree certificate will be issued for the particular candidate. Many of the students from IGNOU University are not registering for convocation and waiting for months and years to get their certificates to be delivered to their addresses, which is not possible without registration for convocation.
If you missed your convocation deadline then you don’t need to worry about it because there is a way where you can collect or receive your original degree certificate from IGNOU. First of all, candidates have to collect the convocation form from their regional centre or IGNOU Maidan Gahi, fill it out properly, and send it to IGNOU Maidan Garhi, Delhi with a DD of Rs 600 to get their original degree certificate at your address. Candidates can also submit their applications personally by visiting IGNOU Head Office.
